Description
- Antique WW II NAZI German RLB dagger, 15″ or 38cm long, brand new replica, pointed, unsharpened;
- Stainless steel double-edged blade, 22cm long, 2.7cm wide;
- Silver metal scabbard and the black composition handle, 12cm long with antique silver eagle on NAZI emblem winged guard, RLB sign and pommel;
- RLB means Reichs Lufts Chutz Bund or German Air Protection Federation. The primary mission assigned to the RLB was to protect the cities and population from hostile attacks. This group was also charged with training the civilian population in civil defence subjects and air raid precautions. By 1939 over 15 million men had joined the RLB as volunteers. Volunteers had to purchase their own steel helmets and had no uniform. These volunteers mainly managed the air raid shelters on a street by street basis;
